[ENG] Brutman aims to be a typeface that reimagines the incise style of the 21st century.

It finds its roots in the humanistic style, adopting the structures of the roman capitals for its upright version and some features of the chancery style for its italics. Contrastingly, its contours are forged by the bluntness of the brutalist style, an aspect that is evident in the asymmetrical flared terminations, its sharp shoulders and the diagonal cuts that emulate the stress of the broad nib pen.

The result is a typeface that mixes a sleek character with historical flair. It conveys a feeling of modernity and sophistication in big sizes, but in its functional size has sharp shapes that allow it to perform very well in smaller instances.
[ESP] El propósito de Brutman era crear un tipo de letra que reinventara el estilo inciso para el siglo XXI.

Sus raíces surgen del estilo humanista, adoptando las estructuras de las capiteles romanas para la versión vertical y algunos rasgos del estilo de cancilleresca para las cursivas. Por otro lado, sus contornos están forjados por la franqueza del estilo brutalista, que se aprecia en las terminaciones acampanadas asimétricas, los hombros afilados y los cortes diagonales que emulan el acento de la pluma de punta ancha.

El resultado es un tipo de letra que combina un carácter elegante con un toque histórico. Brutman transmite una sensación de modernidad y sofisticación a la hora de destacar en los textos de tamaños grandes, pero en el tamaño funcional tiene formas afiladas que hacen que se desempeñe muy bien en los pequeños.
