[ENG] Salsa BT was born as a typographic revival from an extended research over the work of Izzy Sanabria. "FANIA ALL STARS – Live from the Cheetah" Vol01. and Vol.02 and the “Yankee Stadium” versión.

(Hey, look at that cheetah logo, also one of the most beautiful disco logos).

We are huge admirers of Sanabria’s and this is a tribute to his imagination.

The font is free, mainly because we want to spread Salsa from our Latin American context to anyone who downloads this typeface.

We did a short talk about this project in the Letterform Archive in 2022. Please excuse our English, but please do try and watch it. Finally, we developed the Cyrillic expansion hand to hand with Nikita Lyubarshchuk, to whom we send a big hug and extended it to his relatives in Ukraine! – Many thanks to Diego Ardila from NoPro®, who made this possible through his ideas and utmost respect for music.
[ESP] Salsa BT nació como un revival tipográfico a partir de una extensa investigación sobre la obra de Izzy Sanabria. En detalle, trabajamos sobre las 3 variaciones de la "FANIA ALL STARS – Live from the Cheetah" Vol01. y Vol.02 y la versión “Yankee Stadium”

(vean el "cheetah" logo, uno de los logos de disco más bonitos).

Admiramos el trabajo de Sanabria y este es un homenaje a su imaginación.

La tipografía es gratuita, principalmente porque queremos impregnar un poco de Salsa, de nuestro contexto latinoamericano a cualquiera que descargue esta tipografía.

Hicimos una breve charla sobre este proyecto en Letterform Archive en 2022, perdón por nuestro inglés, pero trate de verlo.
